About Us
Southeast Diesel is an incorporated company that is locally owned and operated. Started in 1984 by Buddy Harper, previously of Diesel Sales and Service, as a single block building on Lynnbrook Avenue. The business started out simply as a fuel shop. Offering drive up for their customers, SED technicians would pull injection pumps off of trucks and rebuild or exchange the removed pump. The original building is still being used, and we have expanded from Lynnbrook Avenue to 23rd Street with our main entrance on South Orchard Knob Avenue. We have added a Taylor 1000 horsepower chassis dyno and a 750 horsepower engine dyno. In 2004, we added our Sales building to better serve the construction rock drill line and truck line. This building also added 5 additional service bays, for a total of 15 bays. In 2009, we dropped the Sandvik drill line to focus more on Mitsubishi Fuso truck sales, service, and parts. The current location of our truck showroom includes road frontage to display the Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks.
In 1998, Ed Holtzhower became a partner in Southeast Diesel. He has a history throughout the diesel fuel injection industry. Graduating from the Nashville Auto Diesel College, he has served on Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS) boards, and helped design ASE- (Automotive Service Excellence) manuals. In 2005, he became the owner and president of Southeast Diesel Incorporated
Southeast Diesel is focused on our customers, without them we would not exist. We take pride in every job to make sure it is completed, including the best solutions for the customer. We work closely with our customers on repairs to keep them informed and educated about what was the cause for the repairs, so that another problem may be avoided in the future.
